The world says that to be a survivor you need to lie, cheat, double-cross and do whatever you can to win.
Jesus said "What kind of life is it if you gain everything the world offers but lose your soul? Is anything worth trading for your soul?" He turned the typical worldview upside down. He modelled humility, forgiveness, reconciliation and sacrifice, in love.
DTS, Discipleship Training School, is the entry point to YWAM. It is the heart of our mission, the training ground for a life of committed relationship to God and active engagement in all he has created.
During the six month course, you will experience the challenge of simple island living, in community with people whose stories may be very different from your own.
Through teaching, bible study, and conversation, you will explore the meaning of God’s Kingdom and how the unique gifts and callings that each of us has are to be used in living as His sons and daughters.
As part of a team, in a cross cultural, practical context, you will then demonstrate and share with those who do not yet know God, or understand his purposes, how this truth is relevant to every area of life and how they too can respond to the invitation of the Kingdom.
Through this process, as you deepen your heart knowledge of God, and begin to see things from his perspective, we trust that you will desire to continue to play an active part in His redemptive story.
Our DTS is a registered course within the College of Christian Ministries in YWAM's University of the Nations. DTS graduates receive up to 24 credits with the UofN. Visit www.uofn.edu for more information.
